They Say "Patience is a Virtue"

Oh where oh where is my new dress!? I saw the above dress on Pinterest and decided immediately that I wanted it. With that I went on the hunt and found a similar one at Dorothy Perkins ON SALE for $37 - that was on the 17th and it is now {obvi} the 28th.

Anywhoooo I've never thought of myself as an impatient person but Holy Cow if I don't get that dress soon I might dieeee.

And Yes, I have always admitted to the fact that I am indeed a
Drama Queen

That's all - hope you're having a lovely Tuesday and while you're at it stop by and check out Erin at Currently Coveting
{She's the winner of the Mary Kay Giveaway-  was sweet enough to give me a shout out and review the MK products!}

Friday Pinspiration {For The Home}

With the purchase of a new couch I am in total redecorate mode! Hence today's post-- just some of my favorite pins via my For The Home board. I love the chalkboard paint on the kitchen cabinets - I might have to convince CJ to let me do it one day soon.

Have a wonderful weekend lovelies!

One Word, Four Syllables

The hubby and I decided it was time for a new couch. Our old couch was from the early 1980's and was a faded cobalt blue. It was huge, heavy, and extremely comfortable, but falling apart at the seams -- literally.

This couch is slightly smaller {hence the lines from the old couch} but it wins hands down because... Dun Da Da Dah -- It's Microfiber. And when you have a two year old that refuses to eat at the kitchen table and/or spills her drink at every chance she gets, Microfiber is a Mom's best friend.

Can I just get a booyah?

What I'm wearing:
Wrap Dress: Old Navy (last season)
Gray Tights: Gap
My mystery boots from who knows where....

Happy Hump Day Lovelies!

Glasses and Cucumber Sandwiches

I tend to have staring contests with my computer screen, which makes my eyes burn...because my contacts get dried out -- so I had to come home at lunch and put on my glasses.  I'm not a huge fan of these glasses {mostly because I've had them forever} and I can't wait to get these glasses on Thursday -- Yippeeeeee Nerd Alert! While I was at home I made myself a cucumber sandwich {for the fifth day in a row} and it was delicious. It's safe to say I have an obsession with them, at least they're halfway healthy. Healthier now than when I was pregnant and would put bacon on them... yep, I did, and it was delicious than too so don't judge.

I am really looking forward to this weekend, simply because it's the weekend. Tonight will be  filled with wine and girl talk with one of my best friends {while our men play Xbox like every other Friday Night} which is a REALLY good way to start out the weekend.
I hope yours is just as good if not better!

And for the last time people - enter my Mary Kay Giveaway! I'm not going to say it again - mostly because the giveaway ends tomorrow but also I'm beginning to sound like a broken record.

Friday Pinspiration {Make Me Up!}

I have to be honest and say I'm surprised that so many people didn't enter the Mary Kay Giveaway - I thought for sure you ladies would be lining up for some free lipgloss! It's not too late though, you still have until tomorrow to enter-- so don't miss out!
 And with that my Friday Pinspiration is from my Make Me Up! board, just some of my favorite looks. Liquid eyeliner, bright lips, ombre nails... it's the girly things that make my world go 'round
Happy Friday Lovelies!

VDay Recap

I was expecting this for Valentines Day, not only because I asked for it, but because my husband knows I HATE surprises. But I was wrong, because when I opened my gift (the Kindle) I was so thrilled. He actually thought about what to get me, not that my husband isn't  a thoughtful person, but usually I have to lay out what he should get me so I don't get "upset" (i know i'm a brat...yet again). He said "I know how much you love to read, and now you don't have to go to the library" how sweet?! I don't decorate for Valentines Day but my mom took the initiative to sneak over late last night and decorate our front door, again How Sweet *note to self, be as good of a mom as mine*. AND I can't forget my super cute, self done, Valentines Day mani - got the idea here...One day I will be able to paint my nails so that they actually look good.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Valentines Day! Now it's back to cooking steak and shrimp for my hubby - recipe post tomorrow!

Don't forget to check out my Mary Kay giveaway!!

Mary Kay Giveaway

A couple of days ago I received a box from my Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and Sponsor and it was full of products and samples that I am just so excited to talk about. So lets get started:

1. Mary Kay Creme Lipstick {in Really Red} - This lipstick is amazing. As I said here - I'm a huge fan of bright colors and Really Red is the perfect shade for all skin tones. My favorite thing about this lipstick is that it says long lasting, and it is. It outlasts my Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain! And even better than that it's lightweight and doesn't crack, feather, or bleed. For the price its a steal, end of story.
2. Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara {in Black} - Just to be clear I am a Mascara brat {brat in general} and have been addicted to Maybelline's Falsies for the past six months, until I tried this mascara. The wand is smaller than I'm used to, which I have to admit threw me off at first, but the superfine bristles are perfect for elongating each and every lash. Plus I feel like I have more control, which allowed for me to get closer to the eye {for more volume} and even apply a coat to my bottom lashes {which I never do!} - AND NO CLUMPS!!!
3. Mary Kay Eyeliner {in Black} - I love liquid liner and will until the day I die, but this will now be my go to liner for everyday use. It glides on so smooth and gives you almost a liquid look that lasts until you take it off.  Really what else could ask for in a stick liner?
4. Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover - My personal favorite - THE BEST product of it's kind -it won a "Best in Beauty" award from Allure, this remover is magic. Before I had tried any actual Mary Kay makeup products I had used this and was so impressed at how little was needed to remove all of my caked on eye makeup easily and quickly. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend it!
Jennifer was so sweet to send me these products to test and review - but like I said she also sent me some samples that I've decided to share with you! One of which was the New Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss  - The color I got to try was Rock n' Red {perfect over the Really Red Lipstick!} and loved that unlike other glosses it's not sticky or easily removed - it stayed silky and shiny on my lips for hours! With that lets get to the giveaway!

A mini NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss Set of six! Colors include: Icicle, Fancy Nancy, Berry Tart, Pink Luster, Rock n' Red, and Beach Bronze.

He Said I Look Like A Cowgirl

The debut of the denim shirt! Dave called me a Cowgirl when he saw my outfit this morning (hence the title)  so I thought it would be fitting to have a "country" backdrop. I kind of love this outfit - minus that this shirt makes unnecessary bulges when tucked in.  This shirt will definitely be a fun article to play around with and remix.
...even if I look like a Cowgirl

What I'm Wearing:
Denim Shirt: VS
Vest: Forever 21
Skirt: Ross
Belt: Simply Charming

Make sure that you stop by tomorrow!
I know I don't usually do a Saturday post but I am reviewing some Mary Kay  products and will have a giveaway that will be open to all readers - so be sure to check it out!

Friday Pinspiration {Pretty Things}

My fastest growing board on Pinterest is my "Pretty Things" board and it's easy to see why...
I am so glad it's Friday!
I thought I'd prepare you for the weekend with some pretty pictures that I just love.

Enjoy!

Poll Time

Today is a very busy day, good thing I was sick at the beginning of the week and not the end. With that - I don't have time to give you an amazing outfit post {mostly because my outfit is strictly business today} or an outrageous ramble picked from the back of my brain, however I do have time for this. I finally caved and bought a Denim/Chartreuse shirt - and here are some of my reasons why:

What do you think? Pretty inspiring right?
But Honestly... How do you feel about Denim/Chartreuse shirts?
And does anyone know the difference!?

Happy Thursday Lovelies

Glitter on the Mattress

First of all - my apologies as I've been on a bit of a hiatus, not by choice mind you. I had food poisoning and haven't been able to think past what a pretty color Blue Gatorade and Pepto-Bismol make when mixed together for the past few days, much less come up with some intriguing blog post {or worry about the piles of laundry that have now consumed my room}. With that being said I'm back, not operating as full speed, more like half speed...which means my outfit is lacking, along with my makeup, hair, and thought process.

I'm so out of it that I missed our 6 month anniversary milestone. Not a huge event,  I know - but we beat Kim Kardashian by a land slide. On top of that I feel like making it six months into a marriage and not even having one thought of "Was this the right decision?" should absolutely be celebrated considering so many marriages end before the first year. {See I couldn't really find a stat on that one, but people say it - so it must be true, right?}

Anyway back to the gushy stuff. Today I finally ventured out of my house, went into work and ran some errands - One of which included stopping by CVS to pick up diapers and yet more blue Gatorade. Whilst {yes, whilst}  meandering the aisles I passed a very large selection of Valentine's Day cards and realized... This is the first year {of many} that I get to choose from the "To My Husband" section.  The rush of girly emotions that went through me at this realization was totally uncalled for in a public setting but it involved teary eyes and a goofy smile. So due to my lack of celebration on our six month anniversary and the upcoming first time we're Hubby and Wifey married for Valentines Day I decided to share a story from our wedding day.

After the ceremony before our grand entrance as most couples do, there were TONS of pictures being taken. My bridesmaids and I did not have the luxury of taking our private pics before the ceremony and had to somehow fit it in after. While we were down soaking our feet in the pool we get a surprise visitor, that made for some of the most memorable wedding day photos ever.

I love these pictures, mostly because although we did "posed candid shots" these were real candid pictures that show just how happy we were... and how amazing the cold water felt on our feet.

Happy Hump Day!

psst. the title of this post if from "Love Shack" but you knew that.
