Trash it Inspiration

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow!
I'll give you three hints:
It involves my wedding dress, a photographer, and a very scenic river.
That's right. I'm trashing my wedding dress! {GASP!} I know you're all thinking - why? Why on earth would you do such a thing!? I'll tell you why. Because I will never EVER get a chance to wear it again. My daughter will more than likely NOT want to wear it in another 20 years {face the facts, it won't be in style in 20 years... just like my mom's long sleeved lace gown with matching cowboy hat was not in style 20 years later}.What's the point of preserving it? So that it can suffocate in my closet for the next 50 years? I mean... I guess I could try to sell it, but I would much rather wear it one last time, have a little fun, and have an  amazing photographer {Joe C. - check him out!} capture the whole thing on film!

I'm really, totally, extremely STOKED to be doing this.
I can't wait to share the pictures with you guys!
This is going to be EPIC.

Happy Friday Love Cats!

I love this idea...might be the only reason why I would get married. Kidding. Sort of.

Enjoy it! I'm looking forward to the photos. I'm planning on shortening my wedding dress into a cocktail dress so I can wear it again :)

I TOTALLY want to do trash the dress!! I keep putting it off though and saying I want to lose a few more lbs (be closer to my wedding weight) when I get it done. Kind of afraid the dress may not fit. :) Ok it would, but still!

I can't WAIT to see them! My friend did a trash the dress a couple of years ago in a muddy pumpkin patch. They turned out great! And she even got all the mud out of the dress, had it cleaned and she said she couldn't even tell it had been dirty.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing! I can't wait to see the pictures, you're going to have such an awesome time.

Side note: I totally just got a Google Blogger warning that I was visiting a website with adult content. I guess trashing wedding dresses is not meant for kids.

good luck! sounds awesome - i wore a short dress, and i think i might wear it again. or dye it blue. either way - mine wasn't actually a 'bridal' gown. if i had a real bridal gown, i would have done this!
