First of all - my apologies as I've been on a bit of a hiatus, not by choice mind you. I had food poisoning and haven't been able to think past what a pretty color Blue Gatorade and Pepto-Bismol make when mixed together for the past few days, much less come up with some intriguing blog post {or worry about the piles of laundry that have now consumed my room}. With that being said I'm back, not operating as full speed, more like half speed...which means my outfit is lacking, along with my makeup, hair, and thought process.
I'm so out of it that I missed our 6 month anniversary milestone. Not a huge event, I know - but we beat Kim Kardashian by a land slide. On top of that I feel like making it six months into a marriage and not even having one thought of "Was this the right decision?" should absolutely be celebrated considering so many marriages end before the first year. {See I couldn't really find a stat on that one, but people say it - so it must be true, right?}
Anyway back to the gushy stuff. Today I finally ventured out of my house, went into work and ran some errands - One of which included stopping by CVS to pick up diapers and yet more blue Gatorade. Whilst {yes, whilst} meandering the aisles I passed a very large selection of Valentine's Day cards and realized... This is the first year {of many} that I get to choose from the "To My Husband" section. The rush of girly emotions that went through me at this realization was totally uncalled for in a public setting but it involved teary eyes and a goofy smile. So due to my lack of celebration on our six month anniversary and the upcoming first time we're Hubby and Wifey married for Valentines Day I decided to share a story from our wedding day.
After the ceremony before our grand entrance as most couples do, there were TONS of pictures being taken. My bridesmaids and I did not have the luxury of taking our private pics before the ceremony and had to somehow fit it in after. While we were down soaking our feet in the pool we get a surprise visitor, that made for some of the most memorable wedding day photos ever.
I love these pictures, mostly because although we did "posed candid shots" these were real candid pictures that show just how happy we were... and how amazing the cold water felt on our feet.
Happy Hump Day!
psst. the title of this post if from "Love Shack" but you knew that.
