Hey Fellas - this post is mostly for my female readers...you've been warned.
So the truth is I'm not as "Petite" as I claim to be. I'm actually quite average.
I'm 5'5 and tend to wear 3 or 4 inch heels which puts me around 5'8 or 5'9 most days.
On a good week I weigh between 140 and 145 lbs., and for one week a month my weight is closer to 150 lbs after an over indulgence in chocolate and salted goods.
Why am I telling you this?
Because this is my second resolution.
Yeah that's right... The one I wasn't "too worried about".
I'm scared that quitting smoking is going to make me pack on pounds faster than a fat kid in an all you can eat bakery. And even though the below chart states that I am in a "healthy weight zone" I'm more towards the top of that zone, and I want to be closer to the bottom.
I don't even know if my body has the ability to look like the hot girl shown above!
But I have to try. That's where I fail, I've never tried.
I have ABSOLUTELY no workout routine.
That is unless you include chasing around a two year old for 3 - 4 hours (not including weekends) and walking/running/carrying her up and down the stairs 10+ times a day, which I don't.
So far my plan is as follows:
1. QUIT SMOKING - duh, makes it easier to breathe when you run!
2. QUIT DRINKING - I can't accomplish #1 without doing this
(and this alone should help me drop a couple lbs.)
(and this alone should help me drop a couple lbs.)
3. MORE WATER - less soda. Good for your skin too!
4. DEVELOP A ROUTINE - a new routine. Instead of getting out of bed and lighting up, get out of bed and lace 'em up.
I was hesitant to post this because honestly, quitting smoking is going to be one of the hardest things (next to giving birth) I've ever done. Which is why I originally said I'm not as worried about my other resolutions... Even though I really, really, am.
Outfit post coming soon. Just sending out thought bubbles.
Happy Hump Day!

Great thought bubbles today!! I need to begin
an exercise routine asap. It's already day 4 of the New Year. Maybe tonight. Great inspiration for me getting started. Thanks :) Lisa
I am in the same boat as you. I am trying to quit smoking cigarettes. I thought it would be easy since I quit meat and caffeine with no problems. But it is hard and the weight thing ugh. I used to be a twig and now as I am getting older my body is changing and like you said I have no exercise routine. I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to seeing your progress. Perhaps you can motivate your readers, including me!

So I can't really help you quit smoking as I never have (smoked or quit lol), but I have been working on losing weight since October. I joined this site called loseit.com where it gives you a daily calorie budget and you can eat whatever you want w/in that budget. And, if you work out at all you can eat/drink more!! It's been amazing. I've never EVER dieted before and my workout routine was sporadic for a while and I had little self control with chocolate et al.
HOWEVER...I joined this site and since Oct, have lost 10 lbs (with a few setbacks of Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.). The best thing is that I don't really feel like I'm "dieting" per say b/c I haven't cut ANY foods completely out of my diet (not even chocolate) but just cut down on them. It's been REALLY AMAZING! I feel great too....ANyway, I'll stop rambling in public where everyone can see but if you want to talk more, definitely give me a call or somethign. :)
P.S. that hot girl in your post is way too skinny. Where the hell is her ass?
Nicorette Gum. on it since October. It works!
